JNPC CDERT-JPAM Team

Proposed Establishment of Civil Defence Emergency Response Team (CDERT) Johor National Parks Corporation and Disaster Relief Operations Centre in Johor National Parks have been approved by the Executive Council (MMK) on 07/04/2007. Search and Rescue Training Program (SAR) organized by Johor National Park Corporation in collaboration with Malaysia Civil Defence Force (Johor State) was held in Endau-Rompin (Selai) Johor National Park On 18 to 21 September 2012 (4 Days 3 Nights). The program held a string of incidents of natural disasters such as major floods Endau-Rompin (Peta) Johor National Park in late 2006 and early 2007. Next, the occurrence of a fallen tree due to heavy rain and strong winds up in Gunung Ledang Johor National Park killed two lives.

This program involves 25 participants Johor National Park Corporation staff who each park has a number of representative JNPC CDERT-JPAM. Coaches are 10 people led by SM. (PA) Mohd Jasmi Bin Salehudin. Several training schedule were Introduction SAR, search techniques, medical and movable parts, use a map, compass and GPS and field training (rescue on land and in water). This program were successfully, building the discipline and skills to participants in the SAR operation to be applied in Johor National Parks during a disaster or accident. The closing ceremony was attended by the Director of Civil Defence of Johor, Kol. (PA) Ghazali Bin Abdul Rahman.
