Endau-Rompin SELAI

Selai is the western gateway to the Endau Rompin Johor National Park and was officially opened to public in 2003. It covers an area of 29,343 hectares and is located in the district of Segamat. Selai was named after Kampung Selai, an Orang Asli village near the entrance.

First Scientific Expedition in Selai was held in 2002 involving Johor National Park Corporation and University Malaya (UM) and the latest was in July 2012.



Park's main attractions
Selai is the land of endless waterfalls. Countless waters-great and small are found inside the park. They really the jewel of the forest. Some of the well-known waterfalls are Takah Tinggi, Takah Pandan, Takah Beringin.

Endau-Rompin PETA


Endau Rompin Peta, Mersing, Johor is one of the getaways into the Endau Rompin Johor National Park. Covering 19,562 hectares and being in existence for millions of years, it is one of the remaining large tracts of pristine lowland tropical rainforest with an enormous amount of undisturbed natural vegetation in Peninsular Malaysia.

Location
From Kuala Lumpur (KL) / Johor Bahru (JB)
The fastest route is via the north-south highway. Exit at Ayer Hitam or Simpang Rengam, proceed to Kluang and then to Kahang. Follow the signage and travel a further 7km to reach the main entry point to the park. From the entry point, it's further 53km to the park headquater at Kampung Peta.


Public Transport
From KL or JB, take a train or express bus to Kluang. Then hop on take a local bus or taxi to Kahang. Prior arrangements can be made with JNPC, to have if you require a transport operator pick you up from Kahang or any point between JB, KL or Mersing and ferry drive you into park.
