PAMERAN PTNJ SEMPENA PROGRAM 'SAVE WILDLIFE, SAVE LIFE" DI PERSADA JOHOR PADA 2 APRIL 2013

Perbadanan Taman Negara Johor pada 2 April 2013 telah bersama-sama menjayakan Save Wildlife, Save Life anjuran Johor Corporation (Kulim Wildlife Defender) dan UTM di Persada Johor.  Majlis telah dirasmikan oleh Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah.

Program yang dianjurkan ini antara lain bertujuan membentuk kesedaran masyarakat terutama pelajar sekolah tentang kepentingan memelihara alam semulajadi dengan memberi fokus utama kepada haiwan liar terancam (harimau). Pelbagai aktiviti telah dijalankan melibatkan 3 jabatan (PTNJ, Perhilitan & Kulim Berhad) dan disertai pelajar-pelajar sekolah-sekolah sekitar Johor Bahru berjumlah 100 orang.

Enhancement Training CDERT Johor National Parks Corporation Members with Malaysia Civil Defence Pontian District

This training is jointly organized between CDERT (Civil Defence Emergency Response Team) of Johor National Parks Corporation with the  Malaysia Civil Defence Pontian District in Tanjung Piai Johor National Park on 22 and 24 February 2013 ago. 

Training was attended by 15 members of CDERT PTNJ and 30 members of Malaysia Civil Defence Pontian District. The closing ceremony was officiated by Major (PA) Zulkhairi Samsudin, Deputy Managing Director JPAM Johor. Also present (PTNJ Director) Hj. Suhairi Hj. Hashim and (Pontian JPAM Officer) Md Aziz Jupri. Participants are exposed to emergency measures, safety and prevention in mangrove areas. In addition, participants also cultivated the attitude and spirit of volunteerism to love nature as planting mangrove trees. Indirectly, PTNJ CDERT members can add useful knowledge in their daily work

WORLD WETLANDS DAY CELEBRATION 2013


Johor Ramsar sites are wetlands of international importance which has been recognized by the Bureau of the Ramsar Convention in Geneva on the 31th. January 2003.

The Ramsar Convention was established on February 2, 1971 in the City of Ramsar, Iran has set resolutions related to conservation and wise use of wetlands and wetlands recognized as a very important ecosystems for biodiversity conservation and community life of International Importance especially as residential areas and breeding habitat for waterbirds.

Celebration of World Wetlands Day is celebrated on February 2 each year in conjunction with the establishment of the Ramsar Convention in Iran. World Wetlands Day is celebrated every year with various activities of conservation and environmental education.Opening Ceremony will be held at Tanjung Piai Johor National Park on 2 February 2013, at 10.00 am and will be officiated by Tuan Haji Muji Bin Salimon, Pontian District Officer with the theme of  "Wetlands Take Care Of Water".
  
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
 Celebrate World Wetlands Day celebration at the state level which is celebrated on February 2 each year.

 Take the opportunity to introduce Johor Ramsar sites closer.

 To disseminate information and knowledge about the importance of mangroves to local communities and   
external communities of various age groups.

Program Selamatkan Bakau Kita kali ke-2 dan Penutup Program Cepa

Perbadanan Taman Negara Johor akan mengadakan Majlis Penerimaan Sijil daripada “Malaysia Book of Records” bagi kategori “Best of the Nation” untuk Pokok Bakau Terbesar yang ada di Taman Negara Johor Pulau Kukup, Pelancaran Program Selamatkan Bakau Kita kali kedua untuk menanam 10,000 anak pokok bakau dan Majlis Penutup Program CEPA (Conservation, Education and Public Awareness) Peringkat Negeri Johor yang telah diadakan sepanjang tahun di semua daerah di Negeri Johor.  Program yang dianjurkan oleh pihak kami ialah program yang mendapat liputan di peringkat Kebangsaan dan ianya penting bagi imej Negeri Johor yang mengambil berat tentang alam sekitar.
